Experience Since first answering a blind-box advertisement in the Minneapolis Star's want ads, Dory has spent almost her entire 18-year career in the agency business. She has created and executed scads of consumer marketing campaigns, with a strong focus on home and outdoor products. Her work has regularly been honored by her peers in national awards competitions.
Career Best Helping American Standard make the Champion toilet its most successful product introduction in the brand’s 90-year history.
Grew Up Mostly in horse barns. Okay, the cities of Rochester and Stillwater, Minnesota, where Dory spent most of her childhood. But, the majority of her waking hours were spent riding, grooming, dreaming, training, cleaning, sweeping, hoping, laughing and competing in horse barns.
Hobbies Keeping up with her four children, whether its skiing, skating, hiking, climbing or running. Once physically exhausted, there's nothing she likes more than to lose herself in a good book.
Favorite Book Sinclair Lewis' Main Street. A fellow small-town Minnesotan, Lewis offers an amazingly refreshing, satirical take on Americana. And, it's hard for Dory to resist his commitment to featuring strong, modern working women.
Dreams to Write a modern day Main Street while holed-up in a lakeside cabin with nothing but my family and laptop.
